“I bought a few of these scratch-protectors from Eric long ago and they finally all disappeared, meaning I lost them. I placed another order and after not receiving them promptly, I checked with Eric. He showed me where he had shipped them. I placed another order right away and told Eric that the USPS is highly prone to misdelivering mail in my area. I told him I contacted them and all they would say was that it showed as "delivered." Eric went to work finding out where, as it had not been to my address. There was literally nothing I could do, not being the shipper, but Eric stayed on it. Finally, after a protracted wait and whatever magic Eric worked on the USPS, they finally admitted to delivering the package to the wrong address. I am still amazed at how he did that. This nonsense started in the first days of 2025 was just resolved the first week of April 2025. Eric let me know, just as he had kept me updated all along, and he made good on my loss. You can trust me when I say that Eric sells a great product that has saved many a 1911 from the dreaded "idiot scratch." You can also believe that he takes doing the right thing very seriously. He could have simply said, "tough luck," and moved on but he did not. He went to bat for me against the behemoth that is the USPS and he WON! That is the kind of guy that you can feel good about supporting with your business. The scratch-guards I have will likely outlast me, but I cannot think of anyone I could recommend more highly than Eric and Idiotscratch.com in the event that I, or you, may need some.”

“Finally, someone did it. Put this right beside the barrel bushing wrench as a MUST HAVE for every 1911 owner. Simple, effective, reasonably priced. It works---period. Get one for yourself, and give one to a friend. The idiot scratch is a thing of the past!”

“I am glad someone thought of this. I am always hesitant in breaking down my 1911s. I have about 25 of them! And some are really spendy. Thanks very much for this tool.”

“Been using the ISPT for over a month now on my 1911’s. Obvious results?? NO MORE IDIOT SCRATCHES. Biggest surprise?? The speed with which I now re-assemble my guns. Put the tool in place---insert the slide-stop---remove the tool. No more hesitations, hoping I don’t accidentally scratch my safe queens. Totally impressed.”

“I just want to tell you that I think you've got a winner. Good job. I'm not much of a gadget buyer, but I can't wait. I'll be placing an order just as soon as I can show this to my 1911 shooting friends(Got a batch of 'em!) I'll place a 'group' order!”

“...a truly great little product. If you own a 1911 and are NOT a gunsmith you will want to purchase the ISPT. For most its too late, but new 1911's should never have scratches.”

“This really is a great product. I can easily carry it in my wallet and it fits my 1911's perfectly. I'll definitely have some friends ordering after I show them the product. The company is also top notch to deal with. A+ all the way. Thanks.”

“1911 pistols manufacturers should include one of these with every pistol they sell. A very useful "insurance" item from some great folks who love 1911s.”

“...wish I new about the idiot scratch and your products before I cleaned my $930 gun for the first time.”

“I talked to one of my shops on Friday and they are going to give them out to people free when they get a 1911 so that may spread the word too. I don't know, but this was such a great idea on your part. Of course all the old 1911's from the wars have the marks, but this makes is so easy to keep them from new ones. Going out to shoot in a couple hours and one of the guys shoots 1911's like I do, so I will show him the ISPT and give him one when they come in next week.”

“What a great product. I can't believe it took 100 years for someone to come up with this idea. Great transaction and super fast shipping.”

“Just bought your product….duh. That’s a no brainer! I recently bought my 1st 1911A1, Remington Rand from 1945. Finish is 95%, like I want a huge scratch on the frame rather than spending $15! ... I found your site on YouTube by Googling “idiot scratch 1911”...You have what appears to be a wonderful product... Sure is worth the price to eliminate the chance of such a common problem. Good luck to you.”

“Finally decided to add a birth year 1911 to my collection---1943. Found an original, early serial number WWII Ithaca from a local cop that is beautiful. Much to my complete shock, the thing had NO IDIOT SCRATCH!!!! And guess what----after many cleanings----and thx to my ISPT, it still doesn’t have one…..69 years later!”

“Thank you for throwing in the extras. I have used them a few times already and they work great. Thanks for the followup and for a great tool.”

“Thanks for a great product! I will be sure to pass out the samples...”

“I received your products in the mail and couldn’t be happier! I will be sure and pass out the extras you sent as I have many friends who enjoy the 1911’s also. I have no doubt they will be ordering some in the near future!”

“These are perfect. Wish I had these before I tore my last gun apart...”
